Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Analyst with a strong background in petroleum engineering to join our client's product development team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in petroleum engineering roles and be able to integrate this expertise with IT knowledge to address specific Well Reservoir Facilities Management (WRFM) challenges. This role requires close collaboration with Lean consultants and client asset team representatives to align our product suite's features with the client's business processes. Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, related engineering field, or Computer Science.
- Minimum of five years of experience in petroleum engineering roles or three years of experience in a business analyst role in Oil & Gas projects.
- Proven track record of translating complex business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications.
- Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and interviews with stakeholders to gather requirements.
- Previous experience in software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of standard software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Value-based thinking with Lean foundations.
- Coding or data analysis experience is a strong bonus
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with team members, Lean consultants, and client representatives.

- Act as an interface between the customer and the development team.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Identify new scope and opportunities beyond the immediate project focus.
- Understand and elucidate user requirements through Functional Specification Documents (FSD).
- Gather and define requirements, clarify scope items with customers, and obtain customer sign-off on FSD.
- Map data sources and prepare use cases for product deployment.
- Prepare business workflows for process management and Exception Based Surveillance (EBS) for surface and subsurface facilities.
- Manage requirements and defects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
- Conduct value stream mapping sessions with Lean consultants and client asset team representatives to understand and document the client's existing business processes.
- Identify how existing features of our product suite can be mapped and aligned with the client's processes, customizing features as necessary to address gaps.
- Determine whether deploying specific features or identifying the right existing features to solve the problem is the best approach.
- Collaborate with the asset team and application sponsors to address business problems that cannot be solved with existing features, decomposing problems into smaller pieces and finding solutions using the product suite's functional
- Perform functional and assurance acceptance testing, performance testing, and define test cases.
- Run scripts for regression testing and set up test plans for UAT in agreement with the customer.
- Manage the action tracker for bugs and enhancements.
- Closely liaise with Lean team in driving change management and ensure Nibras adoption across BSP user communities.
- Support business analysts in preparing the training materials for deployed products and arrange necessary training sessions.
- Facilitate release communications and documentation.
- Utilize the Nibras-NX platform's capabilities to support business process compliance management, ensuring standardized business processes and a continuous improvement culture.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting governance frameworks, conducting training sessions, and facilitating workshops to align business processes and digital solutions.
